The Coral Springs Jr. Cats Premier squad welcomes back right-shot defenseman CJ Lagos for his second season in the program. A Boca Raton, Florida native, Lagos suits up wearing #22 this year as one of the club’s steadiest presences on the back end.

At 5’10” and 150 pounds, Lagos plays a smart, positional game on the right side of the defense, using his right-handed shot to create clean outlets and keep plays moving in the Cats’ favor. He’s the kind of defenseman who wins the small battles — closing gaps, boxing out in front of the net, and making the simple play look easy.

Now in year two, Lagos brings a level of comfort with the system and his teammates that only comes with experience. That familiarity shows up in his reads, his communication on the ice, and the confidence he plays with in his own zone.

As the Jr. Cats build toward another Premier season, Lagos is exactly the kind of returner who raises the floor for the whole blue line — dependable, driven, and ready to take another step forward.
