Chase Shoats has signed to return to the Florida Jr. Cats for the 2026-27 season, the organization announced. The 17-year-old left wing will suit up for his second season with the Premier squad, wearing No. 13. Shoats, a Wellington, FL native, stands 6-foot-2 and plays a left-handed shot on the wing. He joins a returning core of players looking to build on last season as the Jr. Cats continue play in the USPHL Premier.

The 2008-born forward heads into his second season in the organization with a full offseason of development behind him, and the Jr. Cats staff expect that experience to show up in his game right away.

“Chase took real steps forward last season, and you could see his game growing every month,” Jr. Cats organization said. “Bringing him back gives us size and skill on the wing that we already know we can count on. We’re looking forward to seeing what year two looks like for him.” Shoats will look to build on last season’s development as the Jr. Cats push for a strong 2026-27 campaign in the Premier division.
