The season officially ignites with the highly anticipated Home Opening Weekend. The Jr. Cats hit the ice for an action-packed double-header slate against powerhouse instate rivals.

Saturday Fan Festivities: Saturday’s games will feature an electric, family-friendly atmosphere. Fans are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase tickets online to skip the lines. The evening highlights include:

*   A special National Anthem ceremony featuring the Florida Jr. Panthers taking the ice,

*   Exclusive raffles and giveaways throughout the day.

*   An exclusive pre-game Meet & Greet with NCDC players.

2026-27 Community & Theme Nights

This season, the Jr. Cats are proud to partner with incredible organizations to make an impact far beyond the rink. Fans are encouraged to bring donations to support the following locked-in promotional events:

•   Toy Drive for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital: Help spread joy to brave young patients. Bring new, unwrapped toys to the rink to support the incredible healthcare heroes and children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
•   Thanksgiving Food Drive for Feeding Northeast Florida: Join the fight against food insecurity. The Jr. Cats will be collecting non-perishable food items to ensure local families enjoy a bountiful holiday meal through Feeding Northeast Florida.
•   The Annual Teddy Bear Toss: One of hockey’s greatest traditions! When the Jr. Cats score their designated Teddy Bear Toss goal, unleash a celebration by throwing new stuffed animals onto the ice. All bears will be collected and donated to children in need.
•   Animal Shelter Drive for UFAR Animal Rescue (February): In February, we turn our attention to our furry friends. The team will host a donation drive for United Friends of Animals Rescue (UFAR) to collect pet food, blankets, toys, and supplies for animals awaiting their forever homes.

The Grand Finale: Celebrating Our Core Support

As the regular season winds down, the Jr. Cats will dedicate their final three home games to the people who make this program possible. These theme nights will honor the backbone of the organization:

1.  Staff Appreciation Night: Recognizing the tireless, behind-the-scenes work of the coaches, trainers, operations crew, and volunteers who keep the Jr. Cats moving forward.

2.  Billet Family Appreciation Night: A heartfelt salute to our incredible host families. Billet families open their homes and hearts to our players, providing the stability and support necessary for their success on and off the ice.

3.  Age-Out Ceremony: A celebratory send-off for our 2006 birth year players. Join us in honoring the dedication, leadership, and careers of our aging-out players as they prepare to advance to the collegiate and professional ranks.
