The Coral Springs Jr. Cats have reinforced their net, announcing the signing of goaltender Tim Sander to the club’s USPHL Premier roster for the upcoming season.

Sander, born May 6, 2006, hails from Bålsta, Sweden, and joins the Jr. Cats after working his way up through Sweden’s junior development system. He began his career with Bålsta HC before moving into Almtuna IS’ U16 program, then spent two seasons with Järfälla HC, appearing for both the club’s J18 and J20 sides. Most recently, Sander has been between the pipes for Spånga IS.

Standing 6-foot-2 and 172 pounds, the left-handed catching goaltender is known for an athletic, agile style of play in net. He’ll wear No. 33 for Coral Springs as he makes the jump to North American junior hockey and the USPHL Premier.
