Dominic Deery has officially signed with the Coral Springs Jr Cats, locking in a premier spot on the organization’s NCDC roster. Born in 2007 in Richland, Washington, the 5’10”, 165-pound left-handed defenseman brings high-end West Coast skill and sharp developmental poise across the country to South Florida.

A Smooth-Skating Tier II Blueprint

Deery lands in Coral Springs with an excellent reputation as an elite, smooth-skating defenseman. He spent his subsequent development tracking through highly respected elite youth programs, including a prominent stint with the Seacoast Performance Academy 18U AAA team. Known for his effortless edge work, deceptive lateral mobility, and quick transition play, Deery excels at relieving heavy forecheck pressure and turning defensive stops into immediate counter-attacks.

Elite IQ on the NCDC Blue Line

Brought in specifically to solidify the NCDC level defensive corps, Deery’s technical discipline and calm decision-making give the coaching staff a highly reliable tactical weapon. His ability to handle heavy minutes, log clean zone exits, and control the pace of the game from the back end will be crucial as the Jr Cats face an elite Tier II junior hockey landscape.
