Jr Cats Land Defenseman Max Roos to Anchor NCDC Blue Line

Max Roos // Defenseman

Max Roos has officially signed with the Coral Springs Jr Cats, locking in a massive presence on the blue line for the organization’s NCDC squad. Born in Njurunda, Sweden, the towering 6’7”, 238-pound left-handed defenseman brings a rare combination of elite physical size, junior hockey experience, and shutdown defensive instincts to South Florida.

Imposing Size and Deep Veteran Experience

Roos transitions to the Jr Cats after a prominent development stint in the North American junior circuits, most recently patrolling the blue line for the Hampton Roads Whalers. Standing as an absolute giant on the ice, Roos uses his massive frame, long reach, and physical edge to dictate the pace of the game in the defensive zone. He is highly regarded by coaching staffs for his ability to defend cleanly under pressure, lock down passing lanes, and establish a heavy, physical presence that makes entering the zone a miserable task for opposing forwards.

Making an Impact at the NCDC Tier

Brought in specifically to fortify the NCDC tier roster, Roos stood out significantly at the 2026 Future Star Academy showcase, quickly becoming a highly sought-after tier-II prospect. His combination of structural positioning, experience on smaller North American ice sheets, and aggressive style of play makes him a perfect fit for the Jr Cats’ blue line. The organization is thrilled to inject his high-end defensive toolkit and physical edge into the locker room for the upcoming campaign.
